Biography
Jessica St. John Marshall creates contemporary western landscapes in impressionistic, saturated color.
Jessica earned a BA in Communications from the University of Colorado, Boulder while maintaining a membership in the Glass Art Society and attending workshops at The Corning Museum of Glass.

The convergence of these two study paths laid a natural foundation for Jessica's determination to communicate light, reflection, transparency and how each interplay with color. Utilizing the abundance of subject matter in the natural scenery surrounding Rocky Mountain National Park and the Colorado Front Range, Jessica's current studio practice focuses on this magical strip that rides the backbone of Colorado.
Jessica and her family have made Old Town West Longmont home since 2000. Keenly attuned to the fortune of living as a part of this landscape, Jessica has had the pleasure of watching Longmont grow into a thriving creative community and balances capturing the natural beauty with the direct conflict that growth presents to it.

"Living along the Colorado Front Range for nearly three decades has informed my palette with crisp blues, riot aspen yellows and sneaky warm magenta lighting off a cloudscape. I paint as an invitation, join me in the wild of the Rocky Mountains. Take a long, deep breath and put your feet in the stream. Listen. Remember that you too, are wild. I hope my work gives you pause, peace, and the memory of a moment in the mountains."
